My friend and collegue Dr. David Whittinghill came to me one day and suggested learning Houdini. I had used 3DS Max, Maya, Modo, and Zbrush professionally for sometime. I kinda thought "Ok, what's the deal?" I knew Houdini was the quintessential VFX package, but why do I, a senior environment game artist need to check this out. Well it only took a video or two to realize I was ignorant of the possibilities. So here is an archival of my Houdini work, I hope this list gets longer and longer!
